Witness the beginning of a new story. • About this track: dante: Thank you for listening to fabula nova’s debut release! For an official introduction, “fabula nova” is a folk-fantasy band that initially started as an off-shoot of a band from my college days. I wanted an outlet to compose, write, and produce songs inspired by my favourite folk/fusion bands and RPG soundtracks. Taking the characters and the setting from the original album, I had wanted to compose a ‘folk song’, a tale that sounded like it could have been passed down through generations of people, but as an energetic folk-rock song. The initial concept was that of a ‘call to adventure’ following a group of nameless heroes, but most of the credit goes to Vega, who properly adapted it into a proper story in its lyrics. I truly am so thankful to everyone that came together for this song, especially to all of my band members who helped bring this song to life, and I hope you will continue to support fabula nova in the future. AKA: I instantly fell in love with the song as it reminded me of a beloved Rionos song. I had tons of fun on the ethnic vocals!! It's been a great honor being part of this legendary song with everyone. I'm so thankful for everyone's kindness and patience with me, and I hope I managed to do the song justice. Vega Lyrical: It was a lot of fun working on the lyrics for this track! The live instruments and AKA's voice really make this song feel organically human, to me. As it's very heavily set in a fantasy setting, I tried to incorporate a lot of imagery while depicting the characters and their adventures.
